RFP: REPAIRS AND RENOVATIONS TO A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING IN SECUNDA

Southern Africa Philanthropy Foundation (SAPF) is a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) with Public-Benefit Organisation (PBO) status. SAPF is a civil society infrastructure organisation which operates as an intermediary at the intersection of philanthropy and civil society. SAPF is also a trusted implementing partner and thought leader, in the philanthropy space, and offers customised services to its corporate and non-profit partners. We have been entrusted by a client with managing minor construction work and renovations to a residential property in Secunda. This property will be donated to an NGO that is involved in assisting persons who are the victims of gender-based violence and abuse.  SAPF wishes to appoint a qualified service provider to execute the minor construction work and renovations.

1.      SCOPE OF WORK

1.1.   Install shower in an existing shower cubicle (supply shower head, arm etc. and connect to plumbing system).

1.2.   Convert existing garage into a meeting room.  Removal of garage door, installation of a sliding door, installation of a ceiling, tiling and painting.

1.3.   Remove existing sit-bathtub in toilet in outbuilding and install a wash basin (supply basin, taps and connect to the plumbing system), tile, install ceiling and painting.

1.4.   Tiling, installation of ceiling and painting of outbuilding entrance area.

1.5.   Install burglar guards in office in outbuilding.

1.6.   Install back-up solar energy solution

1.7.   Paint the interior of the house.

1.8.   Documentation of compilation of safety files

2.      SUBMISSION DETAILS

Interested Secunda based parties should submit the following information to procurement@sa-pf.org.za by 19 August 2024. Use ”Secunda Renovation 2024” as the subject.

  • VAT Registration Certificate
  • Company Registration documents
  • Directors IDs
  • B-BBEE Certificate
  • Valid Tax Clearance Certificate
  • Proof of NHBRC and CIDB registration
  • Company profile and/or website and social media links
  • Representative contact Details (Name / Telephone Number / Email Address)

3.      PROCESS

3.1.   Suitably qualified businesses will be invited to a compulsory site visit and provide a quotation for the work to be undertaken.

3.2.   After due consideration, SAPF will select the successful quotation.  Please note that our selection process considers various factors beyond price.

3.3.   A contract will be entered into between SAPF and the successful company.
